Increase in beta-carotene following dark green leafy vegetable supplementation in Mebendazole-treated school children in Bangladesh

This was a randomized controlled trial comparing the impact of food with both positive and negative placebos. We believe that because the children were dewormed before the study was done, we obtained a greater increase in serum beta-carotene than De Pee did in her studies.

Infant feeding practices during the first six months of life in a rural area in Tanzania

This study was done in a village in Tabora Region by a colleague at IMCH, Uppsala University. A nice graph shows that exclusive breastfeeding lasted from birth to about 2.5 months for the average baby.
